Why is Efficiency Testing Necessary?
Efficiency testing is good for new homes, old homes, or anyone who doesn’t believe that there system is working the way that it was designed to or supposed to. With efficiency testing we can go through the operations of the system, verify that it is operating within manufacture specs, and make adjustments to different parts of the system to make sure that it is operating, not only comfortably, but efficiently as well. Not all installations have the system fine tuned, and the system could be overworking, or under-performing, both of which have their own unique problems that they cause, all of which can be avoided by having an efficiency test done.
What’s Included
Furnace Checks
- Gas valve (Verify gas pressure is within acceptable range)
- Return temperature (verify incoming temperature)
- Supply temperature (verify outgoing temperature)
- Delta temperature (difference between return and supply)
- Check and change/clean filter (if you don’t have, we can supply)
- Check static pressure (helps to determine airflow in cubit feet per minute or CFM, each unit needs specific amounts of air)
- Test exhaust for combustion analysis (checking for temperature, CO, and O2 content, verifying that it is within acceptable range)
- Verify thermostat operations (run system and go over thermostat functions and operations with you)
