Water Heater Maintenance

Why is Water Heater Maintenance Necessary?

It is important to maintain your water heater for many of reasons, the main reasons being operation and longevity. Your water heater can still operate while not operating efficiently for your household.Checking through the heating components will help to make sure that it heats the way it was intended too. Also flushing the tank helps with the lifespan of the equipment, keeping sediment from building up too much and causing overheating issues in your tank.

Doing maintenance on tankless water heaters is also important, they can have a specialized flush done (when properly installed with isolation valves) that allows for cleaning of the internal plumbing, helping to cutdown on potential build up or leak issues. This helps with the efficiency of the unit, as well as making sure that you are getting the proper flow rates and temperatures by also checking over and cleaning internal components of the water heater.
